Won't Admit He's Wrong -

Hey Billy, why can't you suck it up and admit you were wrong about George Mason like your stand up partner Jim Nantz did. Instead, you waited until they lost and then said "nothing to be ashamed about by being defeated by a team with superior talent." packer actually went way overboard to kiss GMU's ass but the fact that cinderella teams are a great story doesn't mean his analysis wasn't fundamentally sound . . . wasn't the wake fight about st. joe's anyway? so he's an old former player with a little chip on his shoulder or whatever . . . at least he knows the game and isn't an industry like dickie v.

I'm a Duke fan, but first a basketball fan, and Billy Packer is the worst announcer I havwe ever heard. All he does is try to impress us all with his quick wit, in-depth analysis and total recall of everything that happened since Naismith put up the peach basket. However, his commentary is bigoted, stubborn and simply braindead. He will make a point, which usually anyone can plainly see, then he drives it home, as if to say "see, I was right!" I don't like my sports force-fed... just call the game and let us enjoy it instead of being talked-down at. Better yet, Billy, please just retire soon... very soon. - Review by Mark

He never has anything to add in a game. His commentary is horrible and never gives credit where credit is due. You also can't like a person who always thinks he is right. Terrible broadcaster... I wish 0 was a rating option here... - Review by Mike

I just watched a replay of the '99 championship game (UConn vs. Duke). I'm surprised Billy didn't show up to the game wearing a Duke t-shirt. He just went on and on about Duke's patented 3's and Langdon's patented free throws. Say what? He was worse than Tommy Heinsohn when complaining about calls going against "his" team.
Too bad I couldn't listen to the radio broadcast while watching the game like I did in '99. - Review by Wally
