I was watching the Patriots versus Giants game and I cannot say how pissed I am with how obvious Collinsworth made it who he was cheering for. Brady is this Brady is that, At one point he called him a stud. My God Chris just ask him out already and get it over with. If I ever thought about buying the NFL network I will never do it because he is an announcer and I can honestly say I hate him oh yeah and Pats will lose first playoff game Fuck them

All I have to say about this as an avid football watcher is I would so rather sit and listen to John Madden than to have to suffer through another Chris Collinsworth called game. I get tired of hearing his one sided opinion. For those of you whom have the NFL network should know what I mean. Those of whom do not have the network, I hate you miss the games but be greatful you dont have to hear Chris calling them.

I noticed that most of the comments about CC are football-related. But have you seen how NBC has rolled him out alongside Bob Costas on the swimming coverage? Abysmally boring. And the network had the nerve to have him sitting beside Michael Phelp's mother in the stands during a race, even though he didn't do an interview. Why? Does it somehow lend him credability? This is analogous to companies taking managers in one area, where they did a good job, and shifting them to another. The lack of knowledge shows and only makes the employees (listeners) exasperated and annoyed. - Review by Larry

I've been irritated and amazed by some of the ridiculous things that Chris Collinsworth has said over the years, but he has reached a new low. Before the broadcast of the Giants-Eagles game on November 21, he gushed about his man crush on Michael Vick. Vick had one great game against Washington, and Collinsworth called it the best performance in NFL history and justification to make him the league MVP. Then, throughout the game, he kept affectionately referred to him as "Mike Vick", implying some sort of intimate friendship.
For starters, Vick wasn’t even the starting quarterback early in the season, and he sat out two games with an injury. But one great game makes him MVP? I think that kind of statement destroys whatever credibility that Collinworth had as an NFL “analyst”.
More importantly, the crime that Michael Vick committed to land him in jail wasn't a "mistake" or example of "poor judgment". He demonstrated an escalating pattern of cruelty that could only come from someone devoid of morals or conscience. He chose to not just participate in, but to run a dog fighting operation that was considered excessively cruel even by dog fighting standards. As a man already making millions of dollars, he obviously did not promote dog fights because he needed the money. He clearly enjoyed the sadistic aspect of the sport and the horrific acts performed on the animals. Even if you don't care about the dogs, it is well documented that people who engage in animal cruelty to this degree are a sociopolitical threat to society. Vick's actions speak to the very essence of his moral character and cannot be forgiven because did "did his time". What kind of person gets off on torturing a usually loving and kind animal? And what kind of person is willing to accept those acts as a mistake and welcome Vick's return to a profession that thousands of deserving good people are never privileged to enjoy? Furthermore, what kind of person praises this sick individual and worships him as one of the “finest” in his sport?
Just because the NFL allowed Vick to rejoin the ranks of those involved in murders, manslaughters, rapes and DUIs, doesn't mean that Chris Collinsworth needs to put him up on a pedestal. While I fully agree that Michael Vick has incredible athletic skills, a man of his character should never be admired or promoted.
Chris Collinsworth is entitled to his opinion as disgusting as it may be. But I don’t have to subject myself to his revolting rantings any more. I’m a devout football fan, but I’ll never again listen to any broadcasts that involve Chris Collinsworth in any way.

Always manages to state the obvious and just say stupid things. I am amazed at how many "game changing" plays he sees in one game. Each play changes the game and is crucial. Why bother playing the full 60 minutes when they can play just 4-5 "crucial" plays. - Review by John

He constantly picks a favorite in every game he announces, of course thats usually the winning side. Once he picks a favorite he gloats and butt kisses which is usually the QB (Brady, Vick, Brees, Rodgers etc.). I have muted the sound and listened to the radio broadcast more than I haven't. I would like to know why Mr. Collingsworth never gives cudos to Tom Brady. He is supposed to be an un-biased sport announcer. Tom Brady will go down in history as one of the 'greatest" quarterbacks in the NFL. Is it because he wished he could have been half as good a player,never mind the gentleman aspect.
